Editing is often thought of as just 'removing the unwanted bits'. Nothing could be further from the truth. Film editing is the art or craft of story telling. Editing a wedding video involves creating an engaging, entertaining story from a series of several hundred film clips, together with narrative, ambient sounds of the day, effects and a backing music soundtrack. We have a fresh, distinctive approach to editing, using a fusion of traditional and contemporary techniques and effects to create a stylish, modern look to your wedding video. One thing you can be sure of; we certainly don't use cheesy effects such as page curls, fly-away spheres and love heart transitions. These tacky and outdated effects have no place in a modern wedding film - yuck!

Contemporary Editing

We film your day in an unobtrusive, reportage style working quietly in the background as your day unfolds. The result is natural, spontaneous footage of you and your guests as they relax and enjoy the day.

Your film is edited in a contemporary, engaging style with a backing soundtrack using music of your choice. During the edit we use a range of classic and contemporary filters, techniques and subtle effects, where appropriate, to give your wedding film a contemporary stylish look. Cinematic Filming and Editing

We use an additional camera during the ceremony and speeches to give an added vantage point. This enables us to produce a refined edit of these two central parts of the day. Additional filming equipment is used throughout the day to capture stunning cinema-style gliding shots and creative, 'defocused background' footage. These types of shots are seen all the time on TV and the cinema to create a more dynamic look and give the footage an added dimension.

Extra time is invested during the edit to take your wedding video to a whole new level. Advanced, cinematic style effects, filters and techniques are used to create a film that is highly creative and entertaining. Music, narrative and video are tightly interwoven to tell the story of the day in a compelling engaging style.

Among the effects and filters used are advanced colour grading for greater vibrancy and impact, light leaks, film damage and grain, time and speed changes together with audio, narrative and video overlays. The end result is a stunning wedding film you will treasure forever.
